The Reston Chorale!
Auditions for all voice parts for our 2010 - 2011 season will be held on September 1st and September 8th, between 6:30pm - 9:00pm at the Reston Community Center, Hunter's Woods Plaza, in Reston, VA.
The exciting 2010 - 2011 season will include Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols", the Chorale will pay tribute to Broadway in their annual Pops Concert, and end the season with Honegger's "King David" and the Mahler "Symphony #2" performed with the Fairfax Symphony and Fairfax Choral Society.

The Reston Chorale auditions are designed to provide information of the applicant's understanding of the language of music. Prepared excerpts and sight reading will be required.
The musical excerpts to prepare for your audition are:
- "And He Shall Purify" from Messiah - G.F. Handel (measures 1-25)

The Chorale rehearses on Tuesday nights from 7:30 - 10:00 at the Reston Community Center, Hunters Woods. Annual Chorale dues are $150. Music for each segment is available for purchase at each rehearsal. The cost of music usually runs between $13 and $18 per segment. The Reston Chorale women's concert gown can be purchased from our costume coordinator for $100. Women also wear floor length black skirts with white or jewel toned blouses, black hose and black shoes. Men are responsible for their own tuxedos with two bow ties and cummerbunds; one black and one red.
